Nick Raper

Nick has 18 years of coaching experience, having played tennis competitively to regional level, Nick went on to run his University Tennis Team for 3 years in the north of England, Lancashire. Having done some coaching at David Lloyd leisure through university, Nick fell in Love with helping and watching people grow within the sport.

After University Nick spent most of his 20s in the United States first teaching at a well-recognised tennis and sports camp, before spending 5 years in Canada having trained and gained qualification at one of the world’s leading ski resorts Lake Louise.

In Canada, Nick taught at a national tennis center, and worked with some of the best juniors in North America. He also worked in schools. On his return to the UK, Nick set up various Teddy Tennis franchises with Chantel. He gets the greatest pleasure seeing a 2 or 3 year old hit the ball over the net for the first time while trying to multi task to meet the needs off all the children. Nick wants to continue introducing children to sport for the first time and show them how to love the game.

Within Sporty Scholars Nick will ensure that all procedures and standards are being met across the board, to ensure that customer satisfaction is being met in all levels.

Chantel now brings her eye for detail and creativity to the management of Teddy Tennis, where her main goal is to successfully deliver our programme to coaches, schools, parents, and of course the children!

With over 5 years’ of tennis coaching experience, and further time spent working with children outside of Teddy Tennis, Chantel wants every Teddy Tennis star to show their inner potential: “The structure of our programme is so rewarding, immersing children in a mixture of storytelling, music, and physical coordination, it really allows a child to acknowledge the rapid growth they are already going through as mini champions!”
